Popple is a shadow thief just like his name says. He enjoys stealing and robbing people of their valuable belongings. Popple started out as a normal resident of the Beanbean Kingdom but all of that changed.

Ever since Popple was just a little bean, he wasn't fitting in with the rest of the residents. He would always get bullied and pushed around just because they thought he was weak. He was feeling lonely because of this and went home, which he found was the only place he was respected.

One day, Popple decided that he was gonna be a friend to anyone he came in contact with. He went to lots of people to make friends with but didn't do a very good job. He tried and he tried over and over but failed.

The lonely Popple was growing and aging throughout the years and was still lonely. He was getting very tired of being alone and decided to turn to a life of crime. He would steal and rob people of their precious stuff.

He soon renamed himself Popple the Great Shadow Thief!

He later appeared in the game Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga. He had met up with someone very strong and tough, who was none other than Bowser Koopa. Bowser had been blasted into the Stardust Fields and was dazed and without his memory. Popple found him and made him a partner in crime. He named Bowser, Rookie and together, they stole from everybody and made the items theirs.

With Bowser's memory lost, he couldn't remember who he was, but then the crime duo lost a battle with Mario and Luigi. After the battle, Popple was blasted to a far away land and Bowser somehow recovered his memory.

As the days went by, Popple met up with Birdo somehow that nobody even knows. He made her his new rookie and they fought against the Mario Bros. Birdo was beginning to fall in love with Popple but Popple didn't like her as a girlfriend. In the end, Popple and Birdo lost to the Mario Bros and Popple fired Birdo. She got angry with him because he blamed her for it all. She kicked Popple out of the place and he was gone for a very long time.

Today, Popple's life of crime still continues. He will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Nothing will stand in his path to glory!

Popple, as a young Bean, had a hard life as the victim of the school bullies. This began after Kamek, who was masquerading as a student, turned everyone into a student before they realized who he was. Popple, however, was saved by a strange creature. Popple eventually managed to complete school, but not before he was greatly embarrassed by one of the Bullies. This experience started Popple on a mad quest for revenge.

Popple studied theivery in college, but almost failed because he spoke too darkly and never cracked the smallest of smiles. He got a temporary job at Woohoo Hooniversity so he could learn to smile again. After this he started his life of crime. He first robbed the Beanbean Castle of nearly all its money. He next stole the entire supply of Mushrooms and Super Mushrooms from the Mushroom Kingdom, but was caught by The King. The King did not realize that Popple wished to turn the Mushrooms into monsters, and thought only that Popple wished to eat them. Nevertheless, to ensure the Mushrooms' safety, he had them incased in boxes. Then, to make sure that Popple never found them, each box was marked with a '?'.

Despite The King's efforts, Popple managed to get away with a few Mushrooms that were left unboxed. He traced their DNA and turned them into Poison Mushrooms, using what he had learned at Woohoo Hooniversity. He also used similar information to make turn some Bob-ombs pink.

Ultimately Popple joined a thieving guild down as the Shadow Thiefs. After only the third day of his admission to the organization, he was ranked the best thief, and thereby attained Master Level. Fellow member Croco (from Mario RPG) was ranked second, and became known as The Super Shadow Thief.

Popple was abandoned at young age. Having to steal to live, he eventually made it a game as well as his living. After his many encounters with the Mario Brothers, he finally just stuck to small crime. Nobody knows if or how he's plotting revenge against the Mario Brothers. But we all know, it's gonna include crime.

Description: He’s kind of hard to describe, but he looks like what a robber would look like and has some kind of grass sprouting from his head. He resembles Mushroom people slightly.

Personality: Popple’s pretty cool. He has a habit of stealing things, and can blow his top sometimes.

History: Not much is known about this character except he is a thief and the best of the robbers (as he says). Many theories say that he is Fawful’s brother since he seems slightly crazy like Fawful. He came to be a very good robber, an excellent robber even, until he was beaten time and time again by the Mario Bros. He tried to steal the Chuckola Reserve and the Beanstar, but in both cases failed. He then was caught and made to work for a Toad scrubbing the giant Mushrooms of Little Fungitown. He then was brought in to be interviewed by Phantos67 and ended up joining them. He says the word “see” after most of his sentences and Thud hates it. He rarely ever gets hit by Thud though, he’s pretty quick.
