Abilities: Kamek can teleport, call monsters, shape shift items or creatures into other creatures or items and change their size as well. He is also rumored to be telepathic, and able to see the future. (This is why he is known as a prophet in Yoshi's Story and knows the future of the Mario Bros. and Yoshi.Interesting huh?) One other thing he can do that is very valuable but often over-looked is his ability to create an infinite supply of money (Seen in Koopa's Castle in Mario RPG), also he can fly with his magic broomstick.
Rank: Leader of all Magikoopas
Minions belonging specifically to him: All Toadies
Story of Kamek:

As much as he's told me it started like this.. He was raised with the other Magikoopas but far exceeded them in his studies. Quickly he moved up in rank and was finally chosen as a leader and prophet of the Magikoopas. One day he had a vision that the Koopa Klan was to have a great leader amongst them, being the baby Bowser. Kamek's visions had never failed before so the others put the child directly in his care, knowing the wise magician would teach Bowser everything he would need to know. Kamek took care of the infant Bowser and tried to teach him as much as possible but Bowser constantly through tantrums. Kamek began to wonder if his vision was false. But that night he had a vision of two plumbers being the only thing to stop the great and mighty King Bowser. Kamek flew out on his magic broomstick with his Toadies, hoping his vision was only a nightmare, when he saw before him two babies being carried by the
stork. "This cannot be!" Kamek cried in frustration. "But it has to be! My visions are never wrong!" He quickly flew over and tried to snatch the babies from the stork. He caught one in his grip but in the struggle and panic between him and the stork the other flew downwards towards Yoshi's Island. (Starting, as we all know, Yoshi's Island!)

After that episode Kamek did not take lightly Bowser's first failure and flattening him as thanks for taking care of him all those years. He told Bowser his vision must have been wrong and that he was leaving. Koopa, furious that the sorcerer was leaving and that he no longer had him to get rid of the Yoshi's, stole Kamek's toadies and told him he would do away with them if he did not obey his orders. Kamek, forced to do Bowser's bidding, complied, because he did not want to see his Toadies hurt. Bowser commanded him to turn the Yoshi's world into a story book so that they would be powerless when he went to steal there Super Happy Tree that kept them alive. Kamek did so and Bowser succeeded in taking the Yoshi's tree (as we all know that's where Yoshi's Story comes in). The end of Yoshi's story isn't explained very well though. It simply shows the Toadies taking away Bowser the same way they took away the Yoshi's. This was because once he was defeated the Toadies grabbed him to take him back to Kamek, meaning he was in for it big time for what he did! That's why he started crying. He knew what was coming (Kinda the way a child knows when they've done something wrong and there parents are reaaallly angry). Kamek scolded Bowser Big Time and made him go through grueling punishment in the dungeon many a times but finally he taught Bowser to not throw his temper tantrums and to use his aggressiveness for fighting and conquering.

Kamek now knew his vision was going to come true. At age 18 Koopa had succeeded in conquering a dark part of the Island and turned many of the creatures of the island against Yoshi and the gang. Kamek used magic to influence once peaceful creatures like the caterpillars and the fish in the sea. One day Kamek had finally found that if he were to use a continuous rain storm spell mixed with his shape shifting spell to turn objects into blocks he could crush all the creatures aiding Yoshi and the Yoshis themselves. Once the blocks touched a creature it would obey only Koopa and Kamek. (This is where Tetris Attack comes in. Yes there's actually a story behind what seems like just a puzzle game)

When he and Bowser were beaten they retreated from Yoshi's Island- the Yoshies there continuously get in the way. Kamek used his teleportation skills to take the Koopas, himself, and all of his minions with him. They arrived in a place called the Mushroom Kingdom... and I think you guys know the rest of the story from here.

Kamek ever-after stayed loyal to Koopas, often as a teacher, counselor,
and prophet for Bowser and his minions. He is in charge of all the other Magikoopas working for Koopa, and he makes critical decisions in attack plans and magic aide that many wonder how Koopa got his hands on in the first place.. And that's about it. He hasn't been seen as much in other games- Briefly in the castles of Super Mario World, and in the very end of Mario RPG. It only says "MagiKoopa" under description in the RPG but I have a V.G. magazine with the original screen shots showing him as Kamek.. I realized this change was because in the RPG they only gave the species of the creatures and not there actual names.

Wario reports:

Kamek

Race: Magikoopa

Class: Wizard

Kamek's parents were poor people. They loved him and cared for him, although he had to hunger more than once.

During his childhood one of his uncles (who happened to be a member of the Koopa Troop) taught him a lot of things about the history of his people. Hisvast knowledge on the legends and the lore of his people made him very popular with his friends because of all the exciting stories he knew.

In his youth he became seriously ill and suffered for many years. When his disease finally was cured he was left weakened, both physically and spiritually, and bereft of the joys of youth.

His path was always clearly lying before him. He knew about his destiny since his earliest years, and
fortunately his grandfather supported his wishes. He managed to find a competent trainer (who happened to be a servant of the Koopa Royal Family) and began his studies.

At the age of 205 (adult age for Magikoopas) he ended his apprenticeship, making him a fully learned
wizard.

A few more months after becoming a wizard, he aided Bowser in the conquering of Yoshi's Island and turning it into a story book.

A year later he aided Bowser with a growth potion. Soon after that he saved Bowser's life. But, due to Bowser's illness, the Koopa Clan was forced to give Yoshi's Island back to the Yoshies.

For a few years he became the Magikoopa leader, second after Bowser. He also used the last of his growth potion in a fight with Yoshi and Mario.

Later Bowser created Horror Land in honor of Kamek.

Kamek is known for inventing the Primary Beam and the Darkness Lamp.

Pdzilla reports:

Kamek

Height: 5'2''
Weight: 150 lbs.
Favorite Food: Koopa Sud sandwhiches
Sibilings: Kammy Koopa
Rivals: The Master
Friends: He's evil, he don't got none
Resides: Horror Land

The chief of the Magikoopas was given the special mission of raising Bowser after Morton Sr. passed away. Kamek thought that Bowser would be a big pain in the tail to him, and was he ever right. Bowser would constantly stomp Kamek flat; Kamek was more powerful, but Bowser was his master and weighed 300 pounds.

The very night after being given the mission to raise Bowser, Kamek had a vision that the newly born Mario children would give the Koopa Klan huge amounts of trouble. Kamek went to kidnap the children and kill them before the prophecy could come to pass. After meeting up with the stork, Kamek returned to Bowser's castle. Unfortunatly, Kamek had a little run in with The Master on the way, and they had a huge fight. Kamek had to make a quick get away to make sure he wouldn't lose the babies he stole. When he flew back to the castle he nearly collasped from the huge amount of damage The Master dealt him; that's why Kamek never fights during Yoshi's Island. It was then that Kamek discovered that he only had one of the babies and ordered his minions to find the other child.

After Yoshi rescued the babies Kamek was highly humilated and Bowser began to stomp him to death. Kamek used a sleep spell on Bowser to make him stop. Kamek stayed with the Koopa Klan until after Super Mario 64, when Bowser (now fully grown) told Kamek that he was useless and wanted him out. Kamek then lashed out at Bowser, beating him up and saying, "You disrepectful little runt! You wouldn't be strong like you are today if it wasn't for me! The only reason you try to take over the Mushroom Kingdom is because you're attracted to the Mushroom King's daughter, and I quit! I've had enought of getting disrepected by you! Goodbye for ever!"

With those words Kamek packed his bags and went to Horror Land, where he could live in peace. When Mario Party 2 came around Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, and Wario went there to see who was the Super Star. Kamek, who hadn't seen Mario since he was a child and thought that Mario and the gang where just another bunch of wizards, made a large profit off of them. Right now Kamek lives a peaceful life in Horror Land with no Bowser bothering him, and when Bowser lost to Mario in Paper Mario Kamek was laughing his head off that Bowser lost to Mario even with the Star Rod. Kamek might come back one of these days, we just have to wait and see.

Kamek is one of the brothers of Morton Koopa Sr. Since he was skilled with magic, he became Royal Magikoopa at the age of 19. However, since Morton Sr. actually was kind of peaceful, instead of putting him in an offensive role, he became the babysitter of his son, Bowser. However, he had a vision that two heroes in red and green would overthrow the Koopas. He went and tried to kidnap them. Luigi got kidnapped, but he actually seemed to kind of enjoy it. Kamek missed Mario, and the result was the stupidest pair of heroes ever, Mario and Yoshi. Somehow, the duo got past all the traps set by Kamek, and defeated Baby Bowser, who had recently been supersized. This continued throughout Kamek’s life, and when he turned seventy-one, many random people started recruiting him to interview other random people. Then Kamek met Shrugger.
