Clawgrip was created by Wart as a way to tunnel under the Sub-con palace's walls, but Clawgrip didn't want to go kaput so Wart made him a lieutenant in his army. Besides that he doesn't have much personality, he's just Menacing.

Clawgrip is Wart's strongest minion but is not his favorite. Wart is proud of him but he still prefers Triclyde. Clawgrip will do anything to make Wart like him as a favorite minion even if it means killing Triclyde. He hates fire and Fryguy (because he's fire). He enjoys ice and water unlike Fryguy. He's the gnarliest of the minions.

Clawgrip was a small crab who had a family. When they went to a huge rock to take pictures at a beach somebody kicked it over by accident and his family was doomed. Clawgrip luckily got away but his family was squished! This caused him to go insane and crazy. He actually picked up the rock and threw it at the kid's head; the kid was knocked out and drowned in the water. Clawgrip went to an island and made shelter. He kept knocking out people with rocks and boulders. He's very strong!

One day Clawgrip was in an alley alone with no body around. He missed his family so much he thought he had no purpose in life. Wart thought he could be some use so he came down and told him if he worked for him he could become huge and have a better life. Clawgrip agreed and Wart spit four bubbles around him and he went from two feet into 5.9 feet. He was pretty big. When Mario tried conquering him he thought he could use rocks to defeat him. Sadly he is a crab and rocks hurt crabs. So Mario threw five rocks at his face. He was sadly defeated. Since Triclyde is more demented and a tougher boss than Clawgrip, Wart grabbed the best medal from Clawgrip and gave it to Triclyde.

Clawgrip decided to quit Wart's team and got an island and made himself a home. He has all the bugs and flesh from tribesmen he can eat. He couldn't be happier.

Clawgrip is a giant pirate crab. He was the boss of world 5-3, which is grass but night. Clawgrip attacks by using his claws to throw boulders. The heroes had to grab the boulders and throw them at him. After hitting him enough times he was defeated.

Clawgrip has a pirate accent. He appears like any other boss (except Wart) in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show. Clawgrip always wears a blue bandana. He always appears in the sea places. Clawgrip appears in the Nintendo Comic "The Fish That should've Gotten Away." Several Clawgrips were there, which means there is a species of Clawgrip.

Fun Fact: In the Advance version, Clawgrip was a small Sidestepper. Clawgrip turns into a giant crab after he's engulfed by several bubbles that resemble the ones Wart is capable of spitting.
