Appearance: A giant, three-legged robot with a Snifit-like face and a dome on top when he guards things.
Note: Nintendo had the idea of a giant boss you climb to defeat since Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
History: Ludwig built Megaleg on an order once Bowser decided to go with his new galaxy plan. It took Ludwig from the very first mention of the game to shortly before the release date. Bowser decided that Ludwig got beaten too many times to go, so he couldn’t accompany Bowser Jr. and himself. Junior piloted Megaleg to a pair of moons in the ray of galaxies observed from the Terrace. Mario came and trashed the robot by tricking the Bullet Bills into destroying the Grand Star’s protective dome. Like all of Ludwig’s inventions, it blew up. Fortunately for them, only the joints blew up, meaning Megaleg may rise again some day. Currently, his remains are in the Weapon Vault to be repaired.

Appearance: A very large, gray robot with three massive legs. It has a Snifit-like snout and two yellows eyes. It's covered with many Bullet Bill blasters, and has a siren atop its head.
Friends: Bowser Jr.
Enemies: Mario and Luigi

Biography: Megaleg is a colossal robot built by Bowser Jr. Being a very big and high-tech invention, Bowser Jr. had to keep working on it for 7 years until he was ready to unleash it on Mario. Once he was done, he placed Megaleg on a large, orange planet in space. Having one of his greatest inventions residing there, he named that place Bowser Jr's Robot Reactor. He was so sure of Megaleg that he sealed a Grand Star that Bowser entrusted him with inside Megaleg's siren. But to Junior's disappointment, Mario was able to beat him by climbing up to his head and leading a Bullet Bill to hit its siren. Megaleg then exploded, releasing the Grand Star into Mario's grasp.

After the events of Super Mario Galaxy, Bowser Jr. managed to get some pieces of Megaleg after it exploded. Junior hopes to one day rebuild and upgrade Megaleg, and send it out to fight Mario again.

Fun Facts: - Before Super Mario Galaxy was released, anticipating fans had given it conjectural names like "Snifit Bot" and "Arnharcus".
