Larry was born as the third youngest Koopaling. He had a hard time dealing with Roy, who would always beat him up, especially when Larry was only 1 and Roy was 6. But Larry's love of planting began when one day when he was about to get beaten up by Roy. A Ptooie spat a spike ball at Roy, which sent him crying for about two hours. Roy never touched him again.
One month after his third birthday, the two twins known as Lemmy and Iggy were born. The two had a hard time with Roy but Larry would defend them every time. At that time he met Ludwig for the first time. Ludwig had spent four years making the doomship, so he had never got a chance to meet Larry. When Larry saw Ludwig they became the best of friends. Ludwig was 10 and loved playing pranks as well as inventing. They both hated Wendy and they did many pranks to her, like tipping slime on her and putting on a monster suit and making her think it was a real monster.
Larry turned 5 and entered a most intelligent Piranha Plant contest. The rules were you had to teach a Piranha Plant as much as you can. But Larry had other ideas. Ludwig and Larry went to Mushroom Kingdom Nuclear Power Plant and made the Piranha Plant drink nuclear waste, which in just one day made it smart... and big... and fat. Larry won because of that very intelligent yet fat Piranha Plant (now known as Petey Piranha). That’s when Bowser and Clawdia added Larry's middle name, Cheatsy.
At the age of 9 he won a ball-riding contest. Lemmy was wearing a suit which made him invisible while he did all the work. Also at 9 years old he was told about Mario and battled with him for the first time. He lost but managed to survive six hours against him. That was twice as long as Bowser lasted! One year later Bowser made him his Castle Watcher. If Mario came nearby... he would attack him. Larry lasted only two hours this time and fell into lava, but managed to be saved by the same Ptooie from nine years before. It was just in time, too, if he was there for any longer he could have died.
Today at 11 years old, he keeps that Ptooie as a pet and plants Piranha Plants. He has corks so he can shut Morton up. Iggy helps him plant the things he loves... Ptooies. Larry still defends Lemmy and Iggy from Roy. He hasn't seen Ludwig for a while because Ludwig went to Dark Land University to take an inventing course, but he gets lots of postcards from him. He is in the Dark Land Primary School fifth grade class, where Clawdia teaches. Larry also owns a bio section in Lemmy's Land, which is also his home.
