Mudkip: I gotta hand it to the little rodent, he was right about a new interviewer. Although the writer himself (namely, Rob, Bobby to his friends)) has been getting picky. But for now, I, the Mud Fish Pokémon, will be the taking over. In this segment of gut-spilling, we shall investigate this bizarre little guy. Shy Guy, that is. So, where did you guys come from?
Shy Guy: Th-thank you, I hardly ever get to speak. We were inhabitants of a small isle, Yoshi's Island. It should've been called Shy Guy Isle, we littered the place. No, really, we actually spread trash everywhere. And don't whine about how it's clean, I say a lot of things.
Mudkip: Uh huh. Why were you all given different names based on your activities or outfits, like Fly Guy, Spear Guy, etc?
Shy Guy: We had to label ourselves differently to prevent confusion. I mean, think about it... If we were all named "Shy Guy", and you were to call for the one with balloons tied to him, everyone would flock to you. This saved a lot of frustrations stemming from interruptions when your name is called, yet the caller doesn't actually want YOU.
Mudkip: Mm. What's the story behind your mask?
Shy Guy: Well, it's a bit awkward to say, but... we don't have any real faces. We wear these to conceal the empty space where our nonexistent faces would be.
Mudkip: What about the Shy Ghosts in the mansion? How come their masks lack eyes, but the "faces" underneath have them?
Shy Guy: Hey, they weren't really Shy Ghosts. Remember, the mansion was a fake?
Mudkip: A fact long forgotten. How come you guys also take up in golfing, tennis, and karting?
Shy Guy: Not all of us were born with the bellies of pure hatred, or however you go about saying that we're bad. Sure, we're mischievous, but that doesn't mean we can't go out and have some fun. Although, we were already having fun causing trouble to that pasta-inhaler.
Mudkip: Why weren't the blue-colored Shy Guys found in Yoshi's Island?
Shy Guy: It's a little-known fact that we get most of our wardrobe from parts of Yoshi's Island. However, some colors, like blue, black, and white, were hard to find, and most of us had to settle on the common colors like red and green.
Mudkip: In Super Mario RPG, why were the Shy Guys labeled as "Shysters"?
Shy Guy: Those frauds? Pff! They were the by-products created by Smithy! He probably used some eavesdropping device and "borrowed" our image for his robotic clones.
Mudkip: Aw, I'm at the last question. How is it that, in Mario Strikers Charged, whenever you score a goal, your mask makes facial expressions?
Shy Guy: We actually don't know the answer to that. The designer probably forgot about us.
Mudkip: That's all the time we have for today, but I shall end this with a quick battle! Kyogre and... Wendy!
Wendy: That water thing? Piece of-
(She is hit with Kyogre's Hydro Pump, which sends her flying.)
Wendy: -CAAAAaaa...!
