PHIL THE KOOPA interviews THE STARSHADE BROS

By Phil the Koopa

PTK's interview studio. Abandoned for a year or so after it's owner mysteriously left the land. Until one day...

(Phil turns on a light and coughs at the dust.)

Phil: Just how long was I gone?! This place is in massive need of a cleanup!

Several hours and an entire department store of bottles of spraycleaner later…

Phil: *waves to the Lakitus* Thanks for helping with the cleanup, guys! It would've gone faster if you hadn't been throwing those Spinies around!

Lakitu: (leaving) Habit!

Phil: Ok... *picks up the phone* Geez, I'm surprised this thing still works after that time Morton got his hands on our number...

Flashback… (taken from one of my own Interviews)

Phil: *picks up phone* Hello?

Morton (on phone): WEDDING CAKE!

Phil: What the…? How’d you get our number?

Morton: I looked in the phonebook, which lists most numbers, therefore helping people find the number they want, therefore…

Three hours and many “Zs” later…

Morton (still on phone): …And that’s the uses of the phonebook! Hello?

Phil: *wakes up* Huh? What? You’re finished? Then get out! *hangs up* Make sure Morton can’t get his hand on a phonebook with our number! God, I’d hate to see the length of the phone bill now… *groan* Anyway, next caller...

End flashback…

Phil: *shudder* Now, who to interview...?

Many hours later…

(The audience takes their seats. Phil comes in wearing a military outfit.)

Phil: Attention, maggots! This is Drill Interviewer Phil the Koopa here, and today on...

Lemmy: Lemmy's Interview... Show?

Phil: Just this once, Lemmy. Anyway, today, we will be interviewing the generals of Stardust Fields, hence the military attire. Please welcome, the Starshade Bros!

(The audience claps as the Starshade Brothers rise up out of the star-shaped hatch. Red Starshade, hereafter known as General Red, is on top of Green Starshade, hereafter known as General Green. He gets off and sits down in a red chair, while General Green sits in a green chair. Phil sits down in the interviewer's chair, and coughs because of the dust.)

Phil: Dang Lakitus forgot to dust the chair... Anyway, so, Generals, what games do you appear in?

General Red: Well, soldier, we only appear in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.

Phil: Good, good. And what role did you play in that game?

General Green: We taught the Mario Bros. the High Jump and the Spin Jump, and taught them how to use them in battle.

General Red: We also taught them their first Bros. Moves, remember?

General Green: Oh, yes, that's right. Thank you very much, General Starshade.

General Red: You are welcome, General Starshade

Phil: Ok, ok, let's move on. Why is one of you always on the other's head when you come out of the hatches?

General Green: Believe me, soldier, we've tried being next to each other when we come out, but we always get stuck.

General Red: We learned that being on top of each other's heads helps us get through the hatches without getting stuck.

General Green: Plus it's kinda comfortable.

Phil: Uh... Yeah, I'll take your word for it... So, General Green, why did you blast Bowser out of the cannon?

General Green: Because that whiny maggot was whining too much! I had to get him out of that cannon so we could have some peace!

Phil: But, uh, Mario and Luigi were gonna get him out of there.

General Green: Well, they should've been quicker!

Phil: Ok, audience questions! Seat 22!

Morton: Hey, Phil! It's me, Morton Koopa Jr! Do you remember me? I remember you! You're the one that I called and explained the uses of the phonebook to! Do you want me to tell you again? You do? Ok, then-

Phil: SOMEONE GET HIM OUT OF HERE!!!

(Security Star uses the Star Rod to propel Morton to a far-off land.)

Phil: Something tells me he'll be back. Anyway, seat 2!

Waluigi: Wah! Koopas asking me questions are scary!

Phil: Oh, for the love of... IS THERE ANYONE IN THE AUDIENCE WHO DOESN'T HAVE A CHANCE OF IRRITATING ME ANY FURTHER?

Peach raises her hand.

Phil: Ok, Peach, what's your question?

Peach: Not that I'm complaining or anything, but why did you help the Mario and Luigi?

General Red: Well, apart from the fact that they're the same colors as us, they were famous in the Beanbean Kingdom, just not as widely as in the Mushroom Kingdom.

General Green: Which explains why people such as the Beanbean guards did not know who Mario and Luigi were.

General Red: Affirmative. Continuing on, they are famous, and we wanted to help in any way we could, but we could not find a way.

General Green: Until Mario spun into us, that is.

General Red: Correct! And so, we decided to teach them some moves to help them get through the kingdom.

Phil: One more question. And PLEASE let it be from someone sensible. Seat 5.

Koopa Troopa: Yeah, how come you guys are in the military if there's only two of you?

General Red: Unfortunately we have not had the chance to recruit an army, as our hatches are only situated in Stardust Fields.

General Green: Affirmative, and no one passes through that area anymore.

General Red: In fact, Mario and Luigi are the only ones that have passed by our bases.

Phil: So why not recruit the Fighter Flies and stuff?

General Red: To put it in civilian's terms-

General Green: They stink.

Phil: Ok then, that's all the time we have! I'll see ya guys later, and good-

(The doors opens and dust comes in from every door, making the studio as dusty as it was when Phil came back.)

Phil: *cough* What just happened?!

Bowser (in a doomship with a dust cannon) That's for kicking my son out of your no-good studio, Phil the Koopa!

Phil: *cough, cough* Ok, end transmission, and get the Lakitus back here before I kick someone's-

END TRANSMISSION
