This Scribble can be accredited in part to Blackbelt, who submitted the following joke to me:
A book never written: Can Mario and Bowser Be Friends, by Dawn B. Leevit.
Well, I couldn't let this go, so here is my rendition of the story...
It is a bright and sunny day. The birds are chirping, the butterflies are flying, and there's not a thing in the air except maybe some love. Mario is prancing through the forest with his picnic basket. He reaches Bowser's castle and politely knocks on the door. Soon enough he is greeted by the resident for whom he seeks. "Hello, my dearest friend! Ready for our picnic?" Mario eagerly asks.
"NOO!" Bowser roars so loudly that all the paper machette trees fall over.
Mario begins to cry. "Oh Bowser, why can't we be friends?"
"Because I say so!" Bowser laughs evilly. He turns to enter his castle and slams the door in Mario's pathetic tear-stained face.
