Here is what I was thinking in October 2005. Don't laugh! I'm sure I had more thoughts than some. Take a look at my thoughts, and Email me your comments!
Saturday, October 1, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Puzzles are made to
be solved, and yet we continuously encumber our ability to do so.
Comments: Denny
W. Koopa: Well, maybe you could make the Maze of Enemies EASIER! I
still can't beat it! supercomputer276:
I continuously encumber my ability to make puzzles in the first place!
Sunday, October 2, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Only in the absence
of peace is it desired.
Comments: Denny
W. Koopa: Susan is absent at school, but I sure don't desire her! Paperlemmy:
The Earth knows no peace... supercomputer276:
By that logic, when there is absence of chaos, it is also desired.
Monday, October 3, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: We can all expect foul
turns, and that's what makes it fair.
Comments: Denny
W. Koopa: Fowl terms? FINE! CHICKEN! OSTRICH! EMU! DUCK! EAGLE! Okay,
that's my share... Marioman989:
I can think of a game that resembles this: Mario Superstar Baseball! I
always seem to hit a foul, but it's not like I can forcefully hack into
the game and make it a home run. But I guess that is what makes it fair
and HARD! OR maybe I could hack into the game? Paperlemmy:
Are you explaining why I tend to lose at Mario Baseball sometimes? THAT'S
NOT GOOD ENOUGH! supercomputer276:
Strange… all the times I’ve played the Mario Superstar Baseball demo at
Target or someplace, I rarely get foul balls. My fielding, on the other
hand, leaves much to be desired.
Tuesday, October 4, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Hide something from
others, and you hide it from yourself as well.
Comments: Trollish
Beastfighter: Well, I hid from this section for a few days, but I wasn't
hiding anything from myself, because I was busy, but that is different.
Really, hiding your feelings from a friend in some ways is living a lie,
so I guess hiding some truth really is indeed hiding the truthful world
from yourself in some ways by making out something the way it isn't, so
how right you are! Denny W. Koopa:
I'm really good by that! And you know why? I lose stuff a lot! Jeffrey:
Not really. Ever heard of "skeletons in the closet?" Paperlemmy:
Wow... That's deep... A rarity for you, Lemmy! supercomputer276:
Actually, I more like bury it instead of just plain hiding it.
Wednesday, October 5, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: If there's one thing
we can't stand, it's something we know we don't know.
Comments: Denny
W. Koopa: I don't know if this helps... but you're the only one I know
who can stand on a ball! Paperlemmy:
Yeah, like mystery meat! What could it be made out of...? supercomputer276:
Oh, oh, just like you don’t truly know the plot of an RPG when you play
it for the first time! Unless some creep already blabbed it.
Thursday, October 6, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Nature does not forgive.
That's good enough for me.
Comments: Denny
W. Koopa: Which reminds me... Don't litter, or you will trip on a root
and a huge meteor will smash you to bits and pieces and guts will fly everywhere!
It happened to my friend... Oh, and you're welcome for the colorful description!
Paperlemmy:
Nature, she's a cruel mistress. Now Time! He's just a big pushover! Bobby:
What are you talking about? Mother Nature IS nice! A little on the old
haggish side, but otherwise, she's all perfect. supercomputer276:
Mother Nature, Father Time, Lady Luck… WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?!
Friday, October 7, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Competition is a given,
not a choice.
Comments: supercomputer276:
Tell me about it. I’m competing with Bowser to conquer the same planet.
Now that’s competition!
Saturday, October 8, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: If reality depended
on probability, there'd be nothing here.
Comments: Paperlemmy:
All our lives are a gamble! Everything's a matter of life and death! Mario's
the lucky one! Kenny from South Park isn't! (I love Kenny.) Denny
W. Koopa: Chances of me replying to the Thought of the Day at the moment...
99.9%. Chances of me not, 25%. Say, did I mention I'm not a math expert?
supercomputer276:
So you’re saying the odds are against us?
Sunday, October 9, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: The light bulb would
be useless in a world that's always bright.
Comments: Denny
W. Koopa: I thought they were used for teamwork! What else could we
use 1,000 Koopas to work on together? Hmm... The world's biggest pizza
doesn't sound bad... supercomputer276:
Once I’m through with it, that won’t be a problem.
Monday, October 10, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Each day you know relatively
less than you did the last.
Comments: Trollish
Beastfighter: Um... I think this really only applies for getting old
and Altziemers, or whatever it is called, but it is true that you learn
most when you are young, and learn less when you get older, at least in
terms of new rules for your computer's functioning basis, or um... yeah,
this one didn't come out too well... Paperlemmy:
You know what they say, the first thing to go is your brain cells. supercomputer276:
The more we study, the more we know. The more we know, the more we forget.
The more we forget, the less we know. The less we know, the less we forget.
The less we forget, the more we know. WHY STUDY?
Tuesday, October 11, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Nothing worth doing
can really be finished.
Comments: Denny
W. Koopa: Thanks for getting suicide stuck in my head again! Does it
mean that since our life can be finished, then it's not worth it? You're
lucky I'm not a psycho, or else, as a raven would say it... "Denny W. Koopa
Nevermore". Paperlemmy: Then
what's the point of doing it? Discovery? ... Oh, wait, I just answered
my own question. Oh well...
Wednesday, October 12, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: There is one language
for every person that speaks.
Comments: Marioman989:
I think I get this one. Maybe it's saying we all speak in a unique way.
We don't all speak the same, or do we? I know Ludwig doesn't. Denny
W. Koopa: Some people say that Toad speaks in a language like this...
**** ******** ****, or this... &*$% &&#*#* @@&*@&$^&*$*(!
Some tell me it's unfit for audio though. But how is typing audio? There's
another thought! Paperlemmy:
Yeah, it's-a called Marioese! We-a talk-a just-a like-a Mario! Introbulus:
What if you're bilingual at birth? Does that make you more than
one person?
Thursday, October 13, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Knowledge is power,
and yet it can also subjugate.
Comments: Paperlemmy:
It's great to learn (first part of what you said)! It's School House Rocky,
a tip of the block, for your favorite school house, School House Rock!
I loved those songs!
Friday, October 14, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: On average, we should
win, as there is everything to gain and really so little so lose.
Comments: Denny
W. Koopa: You haven't given any numbers for the average, so how can
I use my calculator to get it? supercomputer276:
My life actually seems like a really big thing to lose.
Saturday, October 15, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: It takes just one domino
to upset them all.
Comments: Denny
W. Koopa: As you may or may not know, Domino is Bagels's husband. And
I think Playful would upset them all, but only if he's really angry! supercomputer276:
Reminds me of that “Robots” movie scene with the most complex domino layout
ever. Do that many dominos exist? Trollish
Beastfighter: It depends where. In some sections, you need to hit several
domino links to upset a certain structure like the Internet, but you could
make the biggest domino (Washington DC) collapse (bomb) and that would
squash the whole system (USA). But yes, also removing a certain species
from the planet could cause an entire ecosystem to collapse. And there
was one incident where a MINOR part of a power plant stopped working, and
the entire plant trying to compensate automatically collapsed from overloading,
and that caused a blackout in major cities. I just forget where and when.
Sunday, October 16, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Novelty is only once;
enjoy it while it lasts.
Comments: Denny
W. Koopa: This morning, when I was walking my dogs, there was a nice
breeze. I oculdn't enjoy it, for the dogs wanted to eat. Jeffrey:
Tell EA that!
Monday, October 17, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: A truly good deed isn't
any less so because others don't appreciate it.
Comments: Gigabowser11:
But it IS a good deed, right? Isn't it? Aww man! I got ripped off! Introbulus:
That doesn't mean it's any less good when it DOES go noticed
either.
Tuesday, October 18, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: "Giving up" is just
another term for "accepting failure".
Comments: Trollish
Beastfighter: No! Giving up is refusing to face the challenge any longer.
Accepting faliure is saying "DON'T PANIC" if the worst happens. Accepting
failure is more socially acceptable. Denny
W. Koopa: Then not giving up would be giving down? I thought that was
a phrase for giving a formula to Baby Mario! Paperlemmy:
I see stuff like that on posters all over my school. supercomputer276:
True, but does it remain true the other way around?
Wednesday, October 19, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Sometimes, just coming
into view of the goal line is enough.
Comments: Denny
W. Koopa: Don't you love it when in Super Mario World, right when you
see the goal gate, you either die or your game gets stuck? That ALWAYS
happens to me... Maybe I shouldn't see if the games a good tea bag first,
though...
Thursday, October 20, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: A taste of power soon
dulls the meal.
Comments: Trollish
Beastfighter: Wait! What kind of power? Spice power? Not at all. Being
born with power? Maybe, because then you are only used to a life of power
and well... eating any lower really messes with your palette. Gaining power
from below almost permanantly spices things up if you take time to appreciate
it, that is... supercomputer276:
But if you keep adding power, there's more power to taste!
Friday, October 21, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: The world is how you
see it. And hear it. And smell it...
Comments: Introbulus:
...and touch it, and taste it, and psychically perceive it! ^^ I love mind
games. Trollish Beastfighter:
If this relates to attitude, I think that is very insightful. If you have
a horrible attitude over something, then it probably will come out horribly.
My parents always tell me that. Why do I gripe? No clue, I guess. So yeah,
I'll be hypocrytical and say PLEASE THINK THAT IT WILL ALL COME OUT WELL.
Then what you see will seem okay, and what you hear may be fine, what you
smell won't bother you, what you touch... well, at least you should have
soap and water, and what you taste... if you don't like it, well it keeps
you alive, and maybe you aren't eating it all the time... supercomputer276:
So to change the world easily, just change how you see it! Is that in your
mind or in your eyes?
Saturday, October 22, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: You can't drive from
the back, and you can't lead from the end of the line.
Comments: Introbulus:
It works that way in the army, though...
Sunday, October 23, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Life is but a game
that will soon enough be in 4D.
Comments: Denny
W. Koopa: If life's a game, I really hope it's Mario Party 3! That
one had the BEST mini-games! If it's an RPG though, I would like to be
a cat, and I would have eight extra lives! Introbulus:
I sincerely hope not. I'm still getting used to it being in 3D! supercomputer276:
Oh, I love games! Or is it just that life is determined by chance?
Monday, October 24, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Between perfections
there is choice.
Comments: Introbulus:
And inside of choice lies perfection. Cuz y'know, without the alternate,
you'd never notice. Trollish Beastfighter:
Choice? I agree! Like in some kind of presentation like a science fair,
inventions convention, book report,
video game review, etc... I mean the subject is your choice, and there
is a way to perfect how it comes out. One of my favorite choices here?
Thought of the day! Denny W. Koopa:
NO! Between perfections, there is an erfect, which COULD be a typographical
error (typo, for all of those who hate big words, like Roy) of effect!
Then again, my brain is the size of a Buzzy Beetle's eye...
Tuesday, October 25, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Where there's a will,
there's backstabbing.
Comments: Denny
W. Koopa: And where there's a Dracula, there's bloodsucking and a lot
of screaming that hurts my ears, 'cept Koopas don't have ears! Oh well...
supercomputer276:
I've noticed how often that happens with Grodus.
Wednesday, October 26, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Cut yourself completely
free and there's not much left but a lot of holes.
Comments: supercomputer276:
I hate cuts. Unless they're pay cuts. That's 'cause I'm the one that makes
them.
Thursday, October 27, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Be careful what you
do while angry, as your actions may later make you sad.
Comments: Denny
W. Koopa: How often does Bowser cry at your house? WAIT! DON'T TELL
HIM I SAID THAT! Trollish Beastfighter:
Ouch, that is correct. After I recover after having a "Bruce Banner/HULK
moment", I feel totally depressed, unless of course I truly feel I was
justified in what I did. And I do often regret when I blow up in a classroom
and then the entire class suddenly is like O_O... supercomputer276:
It is for that reason that I have blown up the chat room four times to
date.
Friday, October 28, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Most of life is made
up of mistakes, but that's what makes it worth living.
Comments: Denny
W. Koopa: So now you want us to make mistakes... Okay! NOTE: Next submission,
spell all of the words incorrectly! Then I AM worthy to live! supercomputer276:
Boy, then I have lived quite a life.
Saturday, October 29, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: Look both ways, and
behind you as well. Ahead is just one choice.
Comments: Introbulus:
Don't forget to look forward though, or you might crash into a wall! supercomputer276:
You forgot the diagonals.
Sunday, October 30, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: It is easy to grab,
difficult to release.
Comments: supercomputer276:
Unless the thing you grab is moving really fast.
Monday, October 31, 2005:
Lemmy's Thought: You gotta have something
before you can complain about nothing.
Comments: supercomputer276:
What if you're complaining about things you have? If you have nothing,
you complain about nothing.
Go back to Lemmy's
Thought of the Day.

page.
