Two Deaths in One Day

By abcd

Bowser thought he had enough problems. Unfortunately for him, he was just about to add two more to his long list of problems. One of his largest Koopalings had just been killed.

Bowser decided to interrogate his remaining Koopalings in a dark room. Bowser got the following statements from the remaining Koopalings:

Koopaling 1: My shoes popped Lemmy’s ball today. He might have had the motivation to kill, having lost his favorite toy.

Koopaling 2: I hung out with a sibling today. I know it sounds strange, because he usually hangs out with another sibling, but that sibling wasn’t in a great mood today.

Koopaling 3: Me? I was doing a lot of inventing today with one of my siblings. I saw Lemmy outside burying his ball. He stood there, crying, for hours. The only reason he’s here is because you made us come.

Koopaling 4: My older brothers and sister are always fighting. I don’t know which one it is, but it’s gotta be one of them. I think I’m too young to murder; there’s no way anyone younger than me could have done it.

Bowser knew that Koopaling 4 was right.

Koopaling 5: A Koopaling who’s had two different world numbers in Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World did it, I think. Koopalings without those numbers cannot and will not murder today. I’ve been given special powers to deliver this one clue. I don’t know anything else.

Koopaling 6: It’s too dark in here. I can’t see a thing. Oh, a statement? Don’t you have enough statements?

Bowser realized that Koopaling 6, like Koopalings 4 and 5, was right.

The room was too dark, and as he turned the lights on, he realized another Koopaling was dead, having been killed by another Koopaling who was angry with him/her.

Who was killed first?
Who was the first murderer?
Who was killed second?
Who was the second murderer?
