When they got in, the lights were out and everyone tried to find the key to the fuse box. Meanwhile, one Koopaling stopped for a snack. He produced a flashlight instead. Suddenly, the Koopaling remembered where the key to the fuse box was, and he went to find it in a fireplace hearth.

After the lights came back on, a Koopaling got bored and beat up the prattler, and in turn, the tortured Koopaling fell into a bookshelf, revealing a third key which was 1 of the 3 keys to the alternative lock to Bowser's safe. Everyone wanted the keys to the safe and slowly turned towards the third key holder. Soon there was a wild goose chase.

The person running away from everyone ran into a closet after tripping on a board with formulas posted on it. A fourth key fell out onto the floor, but now another Koopaling came in. The person in the closet saw something round. When the coast was clear, the fourth key was nowhere to be seen.

A Koopaling went into his own room and tripped over something. The floor became quite dirty, but in the mess lay the fifth key.

The third, fourth, and fifth key holders went to Bowser's alternative safe lock, opened the lock, and split the money with the rest of the Koopalings out of fear.
