Koopa Detective

"I said GIVE IT BACK!!!" Iggy shouted from the top of his lungs. He had been chasing Roy for a total of ten minutes. Roy had snuck into Iggy's room and stolen his wand.

"If you want it, come and get it, peewee!!! Hahahaha!" Roy chuckled tauntingly.

"Grrh!"

Iggy continued to chase Roy until Roy ran for the kitchen. He quickly swung the door closed behind him, causing Iggy to get thrown across the room. His unconscious body slammed into the wall.

Later, Bowser came stomping into Roy's room.

"Roy!" Bowser huffed.

"Yeah, Dad?"

"King Dad."

"... Yeah, King Dad?"

"What've you done to Iggy?!"

"I... dunno what you mean, King Dad."

"You know what I mean alright."

Bowser stomped closer to Roy. He grabbed Roy by the shell and carried him down the hall.

"Dude, what's this all about!?!" Roy demanded.

"This is what you did to Iggy!" Bowser said, opening Iggy's doo, and pointing. There, Clawdia sat besides Iggy's bed. Iggy, all bruised, was lieing on his bed, a cold cloth placed across his forehead.

"Woah..."

"Into the dungeon, now!"

"But King Dad, I didn't mean to-"

"You meant to do it! Dungeon!" Bowser roared, pointing toward the door at the end of the hall. Roy sighed in disgust.

"X_X Fine..."

A few days passed, with Roy still in the dungeon, Bowser was so angry, he was even grumbling at the Koopalings for nothing.

"I know it makes King Uncle angry with what Roy did, but why is he so angry at us?" Susan questioned. Susan had been staying the whole week with the Koopalings and Karma.

"I dunno. I'm really starting to hate him now. He's been grumbling at us for six days," Lemmy remarked.

"I don't want to go home remembering something like this," Susan said.

"I don't like it either. I'm starting to hate this place again," Karma said.

"Don't worry, Karma," Ludwig said. Ludwig hated to see Karma in this sort of mood. In fact, he hated to see her in any mood other than cheerful and happy.

"I feel like I just want to run away from here," Karma said in disgust.

Ludwig felt bad about this.

Larry sighed. "Well, I guess there's nothing we can do to cheer King Dad up..."

Later that night, a Koopaling was sneaking around in the dark. The Koopaling was dressed in a black spy suit. He snuck past some of the sleeping guards, and entered Bowser's throne room silently. Once in the shiny throne room, the Koopaling headed for another door. The only way to get into Bowser's bedroom was through the throne room, behind a red door. Clawdia slept in another room, for some reason. The Koopaling headed quietly for the red door.

The Koopaling opened it slightly, hoping to squeeze through. Bowser's door had a rusty hinge, which made it screech when opened fully. The Koopaling tried, but couldn't squeeze through. The Koopaling knew that if they opened the door any more it would wake Bowser, so, they reached into their outfit and pulled out an abnormal-looking device. The Koopaling reached up, trying to reach the rusty hinge at the top of the door with the device. The Koopaling was an inch too short, however, so they puched a button on the device.

With a slight buzzing noise, the device grew a bit longer, making it long enough for the Koopaling to unscrew the hinge. The Koopaling finished, grabbed the hinge with their gloved hands, put the hinge carefully and quietly on the floor, and put the device back in their outfit.

I'll come back and take that, leaving no evidence, the Koopaling thought.

The Koopaling then snuck quietly into Bowser's room and toward the king-sized bed, and reached the side of Bowser's bed in no time. The Koopaling, wasting no time, quickly reached into their outfit, pulled out their wand, and blasted a beam towards Bowser.

Later that morning, Clawdia started looking for all the Koopalings except the imprisoned Roy and the still knocked out Iggy. The remaining Koopalings were gathered in the living room, watching TV. Clawdia came in twenty minutes later.

"Kids... Your dad is dead," Clawdia said, sounding a bit angry and sad all at once.

All the Koopalings looked toward Clawdia, a shocked look cast on each one's face. Ludwig turned down the TV volume in order to hear.

"Do they know who did it?" Ludwig asked.

Clawdia shook her head. "I asked the guards. They said they didn't hear anyone going through the halls. One guard said he heard something that sounded like a laser, but they just thought it was Bowser messing around."

"How did it happen?" Larry asked.

"Laser wound to the head. The guards said it might've been suicide, since they never saw anyone come through the halls," Clawdia replied, sounding sadder each time she spoke.

"Hmph. That'll teach those guards to fall asleep on duty," Larry remarked.

Wendy shot a glare over at Larry. "How do you know they were asleep...?" Wendy asked.

"Ohh... King Dad used to complain about that, but now I think he's gotten used to it," Larry replied.

"Anyway, the police and Sleuth Guy are investigating the scene," Clawdia said.

Just like Clawdia said, Sleuth Guy, the detective Shy Guy, was investigating Bowser's bedroom along with the police. Having been dismissed from the living room, Lemmy approached Sleuth Guy after some investigating.

"What've you found out?"

"Well, we haven't found enough evidence to know who the killer really is, although I have a few suspicions," Sleuth Guy replied.

"What do you mean?" Lemmy asked.

"Well," Sleuth Guy began, starting to walk out of Bowser's room, Lemmy following, "I noticed this lieing on the floor, in front of the bedroom door." Sleuth Guy reached into his pocket and pulled out the hinge from Bowser's door. "The one who did this must've known about the door, how it squeeked, and taken this off."

"Woah," Lemmy said in amazement. "Well, what else have you found out?"

"That this definitely wasn't suicide. I still have a lot of investigating to do."

Three hours later, Sleuth Guy came up to the Koopalings, who were, as usual, sitting in the living room.

"I need to question you guys," Sleuth Guy said. "I've been doing a lot of investigating, and I've come up with five possible suspects."

"Who are they?" Karma asked.

Sleuth Guy pulled out a notebook, and started reading.

"Let's see. I need Lemmy, Larry, Morton, Ludwig, and Wendy."

The five Koopalings stood up from their seats and walked over toward Sleuth Guy. Sleuth Guy walked over to Larry and stood in front of him, still reading his notebook.

"Okay. What were you doing at 2AM last night?" Sleuth Guy asked.

"I was having a midnight snack. I woke up last night and figured I'd eat, since my stomach was hurting."

Sleuth Guy walked over to Wendy. "What were you doing around that time?" Sleuth Guy asked her.

"I was asleep at 2 o'clock, but before that, I was putting on my nighttime makeup," Wendy replied.

"That explains why you look so bad in the morning..." Larry muttered.

"You take that back!!!"

"Okay!" Sleuth Guy shouted. "Now, we don't want anyone else getting hurt, do we?"

"... No," Larry said, hanging his head in shame.

"Okay. Ludwig?"

"I was up last night, reading a book."

"What book? How to Make the Perfect Murder?" Morton taunted.

"Morton..." Sleuth Guy said.

"... Okay..."

"Lemmy?"

"I was practising rolling on my new ball. It's kinda hard when you try to get used to a newer ball..."

"... Right. Okay, now for the last possible suspect, Morton."

"I was writing my latest theory on the creation of wedding cake. Pretty fun actually, I really enjoy things that have to do with we-"

"Ahem. Any more suspects?" Wendy said, interrupting Morton so she wouldn't have to listen to him talking.

"Nope," Sleuth Guy said.

"Well, I guess that wraps it up," Larry said.

The Koopalings turned around and took their seats. They continued to watch TV.

"I wonder who would've done that to Uncle Bowser?" Susan said.

"I dunno," Wendy said.

They'll never figure out my little secret, a Koopaling in the room thought.

"The thing I'm wondering is how he could have snuck around without waking up the guards," Ludwig said.

Six hours later, at 9:30 PM, Sleuth Guy came into the laving room, where Ludwig, Lemmy, Wendy, Morton, Larry, Karma, Susan, and Clawdia were.

"Guys, I've done some more investigating with the cops, and we've come up with an answer..."

"You have? Well, who did it?" Clawdia demanded, acting hopeful.

Sleuth Guy reached into his outfit and pulled out his notebook. After quickly writing something down, he took a few steps closer to the group.

"After solving one of my toughest cases, I've found out this murderer's little secret..." Sleuth Guy said.

He slowly walked toward the murderer...

Who murdered Bowser?

And the answer is...
