Violent Visit

By Static-Z and Ninja-Z

It was a typical day for everyone in Kastle Koopa, guards flowing from one room to another, things going on, more things going on. Clawdia had gone on a trip away from the handful of handling the castle. She had gone on a two-week vacation.

The Koopalings were playing Super Smash Bros. Melee at the moment. Bowser had forbid anyone from playing as anyone besides him. Of course, in the end, one Bowser won and everyone got into a fight about who was the one who was controlling the Bowser who had come out triumphant.

At that moment, Bowser came into the room. He tried clearing his throat so everyone could hear, but the volume of the fighting was so high that Bowser could not be heard.

"Kids...?" Bowser said, but it was still no use. Then Bowser took a deep breath, then yelled "KIIIDS!!!"

The ceiling shook before everyone piped down. Bowser was REALLY furious now. "Now that you are all LISTENING," Bowser was silent for a second to let the word soak in, “quote I have some important news..."

"You've made a talk show just for me?" Morton asked.

"I get a new garden?" Larry asked.

"New makeup?"

"New tools?"

"New glasses?"

"New circus ball?"

"Extra time to beat up Iggy?"

"ROY!!!" Iggy shouted.

"No... none of that. We will be having a guest come..."

"SUSAN?!" everyone else in the room cried in fear. Some even hid behind furniture...

"No, not Susan (though I think that is a good idea)," Bowser said as the Koopalings came out of their hiding place. "It's a Koopa named Zach Koopa. He's a friend of mine, we've met on several occasions, and we both agreed on having him over. He's 13 years old, so he'll be-"

"Is he a brother of Susan?" Larry asked.

"No, he's-"

"A friend?"

"No he's-

"A-?"

"NO!!! He's not in any way related to Susan! Now, just make sure he's comfortable here!" Bowser shouted. Silence was left in the room. Bowser sighed, then proceeded to leave the room after saying, "By the way, I think you should get some band-aids..." to some of the Koopalings who were all bruised from the fight.

Zach Koopa was a Koopa who had long, green dreadlocks, orange eyes, a dark yellow body (same shade as the Koopalings), and wore black, leather wristbands and leg bands. He had a grayish blue-colored shell, a beige-colored forehead, and he was about Roy's height. He was fun to be around and he had a hip and mellow personality.

When he arrived, he and the Koopalings all played a lot of games. They started off with water balloon fights. However, after an H20-intolerant Goomba's trip to the Hospital Wing, Bowser told the kids to go to the Koopa Lounge. There, they played Super Smash Bros Melee (as any character, since Bowser, by now, was so annoyed that he didn't care about that anymore) until midnight. They had the volume up so loud, Bowser had to sleep in the courtyard to escape the noise from the castle.

After everyone got out their sleeping bags in the living room (and Bowser adjusted his position in the courtyard to get as far away from the noise as possible), Zach was fast asleep. All the Koopalings, however, were still awake...

"Gee, that sure was fun!" Larry said. "No number of Susans could ruin this day!"

"Yeah, it was the best!" Iggy said.

"Same here!" Lemmy added.

"I agree, concur, say that is true. It-"

"Was excellence at its best!" Ludwig finished.

"I'll still be able to beat Iggy up tomorrow," Roy said.

As all of the Koopalings were going to bed, one of the Koopalings thought, It wasn't all that fun...

A while later, only two of the sleeping bags (being as Wendy had gone to get some water) were empty. However, Iggy looked up and noticed that the second empty sleeping bag had something on it. It didn’t belong to Wendy. Peculiar, Iggy thought to himself, but he didn’ t dare try to look closely to see if the sleeping bag was truly empty; after all, he didn’ t want to cause himself any trouble. Iggy just shrugged it off, and was about to go to sleep, but then he saw a silhouette walking out the door. Iggy carefully got up and peered through the gaping door. The figure didn’t appear to be any of the Koopalings he knew of, at least it was hard to tell while it was moving. The figure brushed by several Koopa armors chained to the wall. The silhouette then fell into one of the coats of armor, resulting in a rather loud clang, but the figure regained his footing, letting out a sigh of relief as it noticed that nobody had seemingly been alerted by the clang. Iggy thought about it for a bit, and then it struck him. He slowly walked back into the room, reaching for a camera, and then taking a picture of the figure (with the light turned off, of course). He then proceeded to follow the figure, despite half of him saying it was a bad idea.

A half an hour later, Zach woke up, getting up to get some water. He then looked down at the doorway, and gasped. "What the...? What's going on here?!" Zach said upon seeing Wendy's body, a knife lodged in her side. Zach saw a trail of gunpowder (at least that’ s what it looked like). The door had knife marks on it. There were footsteps heard in the other room. Zach took out a flashlight he had brought along with him.

"I-I-Is anyone there?" Zach asked.

Zach slowly approached the door, going to find out who the murderer was and where all of the Koopalings were...

"Dude, this is freaky!" Zach thought as he entered a different dark room.

There was no one in the room, but the footsteps got louder and an array of different voices could be heard. Zach noticed a door and approached it. Zach's hand shook as he slowly grabbed onto the door handle, and opened the door. And to his surprise, all the Koopalings were in the room. Everyone looked him, silent for a few seconds.

"There he is! He's the murderer!!!" Iggy said. "I saw him!"

Everyone in the room gasped.

"WHAT?! What are you talking about?! I was asleep the whole time!" Zach rebutted.

"I saw you too..." Roy said. "I saw you get up with a knife in your hand, hide behind the door, wait for Wendy, and as soon as she came through the door, you stabbed her!"

"Well it was dark, so what made you think it was me?!" Zach argued.

"But you’re re the only one with long, green hair,” Larry butted in. “Iggy took a picture and showed it to us, and that person had long, green hair, so it would have to be you.”

“Regardless of how fun the day was,” Lemmy started.

“All evidence points to you,” Iggy finished.

The others who hadn’t spoken yet (Ludwig and Morton) nodded also, and Morton was about to make a long speech about how it had to be Zach when he was shushed by the others.

Zach, with a shocked look on his face, said nothing.

"I tell you, I didn't do it!" Zach said to Bowser as Bowser was locking him up in a room, with bars on the door, in the dungeon...

"I'm sorry... I hate to do this to a guest, but this picture proves everything..." Bowser said, holding up a picture of Zach with a knife in hand that had been taken from the kitchen the last night.

Bowser left the room, and Zach then sat down on the cold flooring, staring at the ceiling for a long time, approximately two hours. Then, Bowser came back.

"... I've been thinking, and...” Bowser was silent for a second. “And I've decided to let you go.”

Zach looked up, surprised, as Bowser opened the door to let him out.

"Thanks..." Zach said.

Bowser didn’t say anything back to Zach, but continued to keep an eye on him.

"By the way, I would like to see that picture that was taken at the time," Zach aid while walking up the stairway with Bowser.

It took a little bit of time for Bowser to reply, but then he nodded and said, “Sure.”

When the two reached the kitchen, Bowser put the picture in Zach’s hands. Zach had to squint to see the face of the murderer due to a blur, but in the end, it did look similar to him.

"It sure does look like me..." Zach said as Bowser took a can of Lava Soda from the cabinet, taking a sip. Bowser remained silent.

"... You don't believe me, do you?" Zach asked.

"Well, I have to admit it does look an awful lot like you.. .but... I believe you," Bowser said. "I believe that if you did do it, you'd have to know a lot more, personally, than you do now," Bowser admitted.

Zach gave a short grin, and then looked back at the picture. Although the face on the picture was really hard to see through the shadows (and the blur didn’t help either), Zach was determined to find out who was framing him.

"Wait one second..." Zach said, staring at the picture.

"What is it?" Bowser asked.

Zach held up the picture. “It’s true that I have long, green hair, but it’s not as messy as this is. In fact-“

"I get it, I get it,” Bowser interrupted, eyeing the hair in the picture.

"...But now we need to find out who did it," Zach said.

"Yeah,” Bowser said, reaching for the Lava Soda can. It fell over, however, and spilled onto the floor. Bowser grumbled furiously.

"Oh great,” Bowser mumbled, walking over to the closet to get something to clean it. “One of these days I’m- wha, hey! Where's the mop?" Bowser complained. Then, almost immediately, Zach looked at the picture and it all clicked.

"Wait one second. It’s all here; it has been staring at us for all this time!” Zach shouted, running from the kitchen to the living room. Bowser, not quite getting the picture, decided to follow anyway, though being careful to avoid the spill of Lava Soda. In the living room, all the Koopalings turned towards Zach as he ran into the room.

"What the?!” all the Koopalings exclaimed.

“I thought he was in jail! He’s the killer!” Iggy shouted out.

“King Dad, how could yet let him out even with that picture revealing everything?” Ludwig asked.

"One of you here has been trying to frame me this whole time. I’ve caught onto this little trick, and I know who did it!" Zach exclaimed.

There was a big commotion in the room for a second, but the Koopalings (especially Iggy) scoffed at this.

"How can you be so sure?” Iggy shouted at Zach.

"Just take another look at that picture," Zach said, tossing the picture in Iggy’s face.

"Notice anything different between me and the picture?” Zach shouted. “Now, I have enough evidence to prove who the murderer is, and, there was also a person who helped the murderer frame me in this task.”Zach then got down from the chair he had been standing on as he made his quick point-out about everything. “I shall now tell you who did this... And the evil-doers are..."

Who murdered Wendy?
Who helped frame Zach?

And the answer is...
