It was a cold, snowy, cloudy day in Dark Land. The Koopalings were in the lounge watching TV. After a while, Lemmy got up and rolled on his ball to the door.
"I'm gonna try out my new snowboard!" Lemmy grinned widely.
Iggy stood up. "Me too." He followed Lemmy out of the lounge. As for the other Koopalings, they decided to follow Iggy and Lemmy as well.
Once they got to the shed where the snowboards were kept, Ludwig looked at the snowboards, at a nearby hill, and at his siblings. Then he got an idea.
"I propose a race," he said. "We will race on our snowboards down this hill. Whoever gets to the bottom first wins 50 gold coins." All the other Koopalings nodded in agreement.
Each Koopaling got their snowboards in their favorite colors. Ludwig had brown, Lemmy had blue, Roy had gray, Iggy had red, Wendy had purple, Morton had orange, and Larry had green. They also lined up at the hill from shortest to tallest, Lemmy at the right and Roy at the left. Suddenly, Roy looked at Ludwig.
"I wanna switch boards!" he declared. The two switched.
"Me too!" a weak one said. He traded with a taller sibling.
"I don't want to trade!" one Koopaling said. She crossed her arms.
The two remaining Koopalings traded, and at the count of three, all raced down the hill.
One Koopaling with blue hair slid past a heavy Koopaling. The heavy one noticed a bump in the snow, and decided to jump it. However, because of his weight, he lost control and fell down, rolling the rest of the way down the hill. The Koopaling who just past him picked up his board and held it in his arms.
Another Koopaling bumped into another Koopaling, causing his glasses to fall off. The distorted Koopaling became dizzy and confused, and fell off his board.
One Koopaling, however, looked down at his board, thenturned his head to the Koopaling he traded with and yelled, "I HATE THIS BOARD!!! IT REMINDS ME OF SNOW, WHICH I DON'T LIKE!!!" Because his head was turned, he crashed into a tree. The Koopaling who was just yelled at picked up the board that the other Koopaling had, and switched boards.
Another Koopaling became cold. "I don't wanna race anymore!" she whined. She fell off her board.
As the three remaining Koopalings were coming to the bottom, the Koopaling who was still holding a snowboard saw another Koopaling with the same colored hair as him about to jump. The Koopaling holding his snowboard dropped it, and his heavier sibling jumped on it, but lost control and fell in the snow.
The Koopaling who just dropped the snowboard decided to trick his older sibling by confusing him. He swerved around him some, but then got dizzy and fell off.
The remaining Koopaling skidded to a halt at the bottom of the hill and grinned. "I win!"
