Red Bones is the leader of an unnamed castle full of Koopa corpses, or Dry Bones, or rather, Dull Bones. Red Bones commands the Dull Bones in the castle to attack and defend. Red Bones can come back to life (well, undeath) if Dull Bones remain in battle. Since Dull Bones cannot self-regenerate, Red Bones and other Dull Bones must revive other Dull Bones.
