Pidgit
Name: Pidgit
Info: Pidgits are flightless crows who need Magic Carpets to fly. Of course, these Magic Carpets just
help out the Marios more than they help the Pidgits. Pidgits follow the same flying pattern and aren’t very
fun to be around, because they’re almost like robots.
Why Wart Created Them (out of the Dream Machine): Wart wanted another flying enemy. However, the Dream Machine failed (again!), and the crows he got were flightless. He then made Magic Carpets for the Pidgits to be able to fly on, but by doing that, he inadvertently gave Mario and his pitiful, pathetic pals a way across large gaps in worlds.
Attacks: Swooping down on opponent, bumping into opponent

Turf: The Sky
Allegiance: Wart’s Clan
First Appearance: Super Mario Brothers 2
Description: A fat purple crow on a red carpet.
History: These creatures have never been able to fly on their own since they are so fat. They used to roam around Sub-con until they were enlisted into Wart’s army. Then they were given magic carpets so they could fly. They fly the carpets kinda like a surfboard. You lean one way and the carpet goes that way. They didn’t have much time to practice it, so they were steering a bit crazily in SMB2. They seem to be the equivalent of Lakitus in the Mushroom World. If Mario could get on the carpet and throw them off he could pilot the rug across great gaps. If a Pidgit was thrown off the carpet the rug would fade until it disappeared completely. Nobody is quite sure why this happens though. Pidgits reappeared at Yoshi’s Island in Mario and Luigi Partners in Time.
Theories: It appears that before Pidgits inhabited Dream Land they used to live on Yoshi’s Island and somehow made it into Sub-con. People debate why there hasn’t been a trace of them since. Some figure there was a great catastrophe in which all the Pidgits (somehow) were warped to Sub-con.
Another theory is that they have skills in some sort of martial arts. Their hair is tied up in a certain way, and how they have done things over the years leads some to believe they have had some sort of ninja training in a Pidgit Dojo or something.
