He is the old Noki who helps you in the Bay.

Born in Noki Bay, he didn't have much connection to the outside world. Being born over 800 years ago didn't help either. When he was 4 he started training in an ancient Noki martial art (which is unnamed). At age 25 he started doing separate training. On his 100th birthday he was called to Corona Mountain; the person who summoned him was unknown. He was told to go to the center of the mountain. When he got there he saw a giant cloud. The cloud's name was... corona! It was the great Corona, master of the island.

The great master spoke to him... “I have chosen five people you must train: the Pianta Bros, Bianco and Ricco; the two Noki siblings, Pina and Serrena; and the Koopa Gelato.”

25 years later the training was over and the 5 founded cities and beaches all over the Island.

Today he mostly fishes and tells stories to his great grandsons, but looks can be deceiving... He can probably beat Mario easily (like that’s a hard task).
