Lord Crump was a simple guy like any other person until he met Grodus. Lord Crump wanted to takeover the world and so did Grodus, and they decided to takeover the world together and get some minions. Grodus and Lord Crump fought to see who would be captain, and Grodus won. When they heard about the Seven Stars they wanted to get them all. They heard Goombella was smart and know some about it, so they went after her. Then Lord Crump went against Mario and lost. He's hated Mario ever since.
