Biography: Carrie is a platform Pixl found in Super Paper Mario. She is one of the 12 original Pixls that were built by the Tribe of Ancients. She was built to get the Ancients across normally uncrossable surfaces such as spikes or lava. But like all Pixls, she was caught in the events of the Pixl Uprising. The Pixl Queen used her powers to control the minds of all the Pixls and have them rebel and enslave the Ancients. The Ancients fought back and managed to destroy the Pixl Queen. But to ensure no further rebellion, they locked the Pixls away. Carrie specifically was put in a cell at the bottom of Fort Francis, which, at the time, belonged to the Ancients. Carrie was neutralized, but still had to spend the next 1,500 years locked in the cell. Eventually the Ancients died out and left Carrie alone in the cell for a long time. But a nerdy chameleon known as Francis found the abandoned fort and made it his own, having it heavily patrolled by robotic cats. Francis actually never found out about the basement that Carrie was locked up in, although a few PatrolMeows managed to wander into it.
During the events of Super Paper Mario, Mario had been investigating Fort Francis in search of a Pure Heart. While doing so, he stumbled upon the basement where Carrie's cell was. He unlocked the Pixl from the cell, and Carrie agreed to help him. But she was kind of choosy on who she'd help, so she asked Mario his opinion about Francis to ensure that the two were on the same wavelength. Mario answered the questions Carrie asked, and she agreed to help him. Her ability to turn in to a floating platform allowed Mario to cross hazardous surfaces and jump on spiked enemies without taking damage. While she wasn't used quite as much as some other Pixls, she also had secret helpful abilities such as slightly enhanced speed and easier traveling in Outer Space. After Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Bowser got rid of The Void and left Flipside, not unlike the rest of the Pixls, Carrie was kept by Merlon for future uses.
