Biography: The Clockwork Soldiers were once just giant toy soldiers that belonged to an antique toy collector. They lived as normal toys for a while, but then the toy collector died, leaving the toys in no hands. But once his house was abandoned, some Boos wandered in and possessed the toy soldiers to have better protection for themselves. The possession turned the soldiers into ghosts, able to move and shoot without winding. The Clockwork Soldiers wandered in to Luigi's Mansion just minutes before Luigi entered. King Boo floated up to the newcomers and offered them a large supply of pearls if they guarded the Clockwork Room. They accepted, and guarded with dignity as the blue soldier hung on to the pearls. Near the middle of his quest, Luigi came into the room to see the Clockwork Soldiers standing stiff. Why didn't they attack? They'd been standing there for so long that they had wandered into daydreams and didn't even notice Luigi. So the green-clad hero turned on 3 of the music-makers in the room, making the soldiers wake up and start shooting at him. They put up a fairly frustrating fight, much more than they would as normal Boos. Luigi had a difficult time, but managed to defeat the soldiers by sucking up their winders. He gained access to the roof, as well as a hardy supply of pearls.

Like all of the Gallery Ghosts in the game, the Clockwork Soldiers were sealed inside a painting and put in E. Gadd's portrait gallery. They aren't too happy with their life trapped inside a painting, but are satisfied enough with the eternal peace.

Fun Facts:
- The Clockwork Soldiers were the only ghosts that were not captured by Gadd before the events of Luigi's Mansion.
- These toys seem to be modeled after British redcoats during colonial times.

Gameboy Horror Data:
- They once belonged to a tightly-wound toy collector. But now they march on their own without any winding.
